| Using Your Violet Wand Rope |

|
You can do ANY technique or enhance ANY technique with a violet wand. We've heard of everything from violet wand cupping and caning to violet wand fishhook suspensions. If you already do shibari or rope bondage, a violet wand can take your play to new heights. Violet wand rope is an electrically conductive NON-stretch rope specifically for violet wand shibari. It is not yarn, and the conductive yarns in the rope run the FULL-LENGTH of the rope and are a structural part of the rope's twist. (some sellers of violet wand shibari rope sell a rope that has random scattered metallic fibers in the twist, but these random fibers do not conduct the current throughout the rope. They only conduct at the point where you zap.) Rig as you would any of your favorite rigs, including suspensions. For violet wand shibari, the rope should not pass near the eyes, but may pass anywhere else on the head or lower face. Once rigged, break out your violet wand and fire it up. A zap on any part of the rope will travel, in sometimes unexpected ways, and zap the rigged subject at some unexpected place that the rope touches. Rope directly next to the skin may 'ground out' so that no distinct spark is felt, but the wand used on the person will deepen the red marks where the rope binds, especially at the knots. Try this: use an article of clothing, i.e., a bodystocking, between the rope and the subject. This makes a small 'zap gap' so the spark coming off the rope is felt more distinctly. Something else to try, is wetting the rope. Wet rope will amplify the conductivity, and provide for sharper shocks. Proper violet wand shibari rope will not stretch even when wet. Ours will not stretch. You can wet the rope before beginning your rig, or after the tying is done. IMPORTANT: if you wet the rope AFTER you are done tying, MAKE SURE that water is not dripping from the rope. Use a towel to blot all drips, and keep your wand turned off and away out of the area till that water stops dripping. Getting water, or having water drip onto your wand while using it could be extremely dangerous (think toaster in a bathtub) so all free water must be dried. Check for any drips of water puddled on the floor and dry them carefully. Once all your water drips are dried, then you are free to use your wand on the wet rope on your subject. The water in the rope will magnify the sensations that your subject is feeling.
