There are a few considerations in using an electrical converter with your violet wand, either when you are traveling outside the US or if you are using a US-made violet wand in another country.

Do not use the small 'travel' transformers such as you use for your electric razors etc.  First, they are not built to handle the wattage.  But most importantly, these are all solid state and will be fried by use with your wand.  Full voltage can then come in to your wand and that..of course..fries your wand.

To use a US violet wand outside the US, you need a step down transformer, not a travel converter.  This type of transformer can 1) handle the wattages required of a violet wand 2) won't fry and 3) won't allow the higher current to fry your violet wand.
