The Violet Wand Body Contact Cable
(or body contact pad or probe) is an indispensable tool in violet wand use. It is necessary for full use of Indirect and Reverse techniques.
A proper Body Contact cable has a built-in safety gap. This ads an additional protection against the possibility of draws on household current caused by a ground fault where your violet wand does not have a gap (older devices) or the presence of a safety gap is unknown (such as secondhand purchases.)
To use, turn off your violet wand by means of a footswitch, or unplug from the wall. Plug the insertion end of the body contact probe or pad into the wand.
You can place the handle end of the probe or pad against your subject for Reverse techniques. Strap it on, duct tape it on, tuck it in a cuff..as long as the handle end is held in firm contact with the skin, Reverse techniques will be possible.
Turn on your wand. Now you may use any manner of conductive accessories, floggers, canes, violet wand toys on your subject. They will feel the sparks and shocks and you are out of the circuit. This method gives you the most freedom of motion.
For the most control over your wand, the body contact probe, and the output, use the violetwand body contact probe or pad with Indirect Techniques. This is where you pass the current through your own body.
Turn off the wand with a footswitch or unplug from the wall. Plug in the insertion end of the probe or pad. Hold the handle end, or tuck it in your waistband or belt, as long as it is firmly against your own skin.
Turn on the wand. Now your own touch is electrified and you can use all the conductive violet wand accessories by holding them in your other hand and passing the charge through them, and then to your subject.
All body contact probes and pads can 'kickback' if you brush against them accidentally. A high voltage rated cable with low-kickback will minimize this occuring.
