Violet Wand Safety starts with you

violet wand safety

Violet Wand Safety As you know, Violet wand safety begins with you and your wand. Violet wands are the safest electrical ‘toy’ in existence because of the form of their output current.  A violet wand uses an extremely low amperage, but high voltage/high frequency current to produce sparks.  In comparison, household electrical current is dangerous […]

Getting your Violet Wand

UNPACKING and FAMILIARIZING

Your violet wand is easy to use and enjoy.  It is so versatile, and can be used with so many techniques, that you will have hours and hours of engaging play.  You won’t get bored, since they can do so much!

When you first get your wand, unpack it carefully.  You will want to keep your packing materials in case it was damaged during shipping and in the event you file a claim.

Once you check that your wand has not been damaged in shipping, and your glass has not broken during shipping, you can discard the packaging.

Familiarize yourself with the appearance of your wand.  You’ll see the electrical cord, the body of the wand, the adjustment knob, and the nose cone (the insertion end.)  If your model has an on-board switch, it will be in the middle of the wand body.

The knob is turned all the way down at our factory, so it won’t start up unexpectedly when you first plug it in.

Plug your wand into the wall.  Turn the knob upward until the wand begins to buzz.

Note how the wand sounds like a very uneven buzz.  This is due to the rapid motion of magnet contacts inside the wand.  These magnets vibrate back and forth very rapidly.  The higher you turn the wand up, the faster they buzz.  If you turn the wand too low, they will stop buzzing.

unplug your violet wand when not in useBUT, the wand is not off, even when you turn the knob down.  It just means the magnets are not close enough together to make noise.  Even with the knob turned all the way down, the wand is still ON.  Leaving a wand ON is not good for the wand.   Its like leaving your car keys in the ignition and the ignition turned on, but the car not running.  So ALWAYS unplug your wand when you are not using it.  You can use a foot switch too, and turn it off that way.  If you leave your wand plugged in but turned ‘off’, it will wear out faster.  So, unplug it whenever you are not using it.  This will keep your wand at peak operation.
