Glass Electrodes are the primary item used in the Direct Technique.
The sensation that is achieved with glass depends on the shape of the electrode.
A good rule of thumb is the larger the surface area, the milder the overall sensation will be.
Conversely, the smaller the bulb, then the more intense the sensation will be.
Some shapes provide a gentle fizzing sensation, an almost tickling feeling against your skin.
Many people find this level of stimulation pleasurable and even erotic. Other electrodes have a more intense output that is focused into one small area.
The adjustment knob at the base of your Violet Wand allows for almost infinite adjustment when combined with different electrodes.
Remember though, that this knob shouldn’t be used as the “on/off” switch for your Violet Wand.
Insert the electrode into your Violet Wand making sure that the device is turned off.
Insert the electrode straight into the throat of your wand. Avoid twisting the electrode as the electrode should fit snuggly in the collet. Turn on your Violet Wand.
It’s always a good idea to start slow and work your way up to higher settings.
Note: Make sure that you are using the correct setting for your partner.
Many new users of Violet Wands are confused when they discover that it isn’t the “touching” of your partner that creates the sensations.
In order to create the sparks, it is necessary to keep the electrode slightly away from the person which creates the gap that is needed for the spark to jump across. Most glass electrodes, are made of soda-lime glass. These are not to be used internally.
Very few manufacturers like us make borosilicate electrodes. These are stronger and safer, and made to endure the rigors of being used with the Violet Wand, but still are not safe to use internally.
The only electrodes that are made for safe internal use are made of non-UV Quartz glass. If you do not have an electrode made of non-UV Quartz glass, do not use it internally.
Violet Wand Electrodes are safe to use over the entire body except near the eyes.
Beyond the possibility that the glass could break, some electrodes will heat up while being used and if placed in direct contact with the sensitive tissues could cause burns.
The rake and comb are 2 electrodes that are often used on the head. The “y” shaped electrode used at the base of the neck can be quite relaxing.
An Adapter is designed to permit the use of household light bulbs with your Violet Wand.
If you wish to expand the shape and variety of items utilizing the direct technique a Bulb Adapter is needed.
This simple accessory can easily expand the number of shapes, colors and sizes available for use.
The great thing is that even “burned out” light bulbs will work with your Lightbulb Adapter and your Violet Wand.
