Phosphor electrodes are made with an interior coating of electroluminescent phosphors, which means the glass coating glows when it’s excited by electricity.
This layer of phosphor makes these electrodes glow incredibly bright, up to 5x as bright as regular noble gas electrodes in which the gas is excited and glows.
With the interior coating, phosphor electrodes not only glow brighter, but they make for a stronger spark. Plus, they have a great crackling sound. Huge visuals, stronger spark, and a spine-tingling sound.

It’s pretty to look at, but there is a bunch of GUNK inside that’s very noticeable when you turn it on. The electrode itself is smaller than the blue one and looks really awkward sticking out of the endcap. +1 star though for the price when you use the BOGO special.
Customer service note: the ‘gunk’ is the phosphor coating on the inside that makes these electrodes glow extra bright.
