When Using, Insert the Body Contact Only Till It Is Held Firmly.

Do not jam into the wand.  Violet Wand collets hold electrodes and accessories through a friction-grip collet that expands as you push items into it.  Excessive force when inserting items can cause their end caps to be held too tight and they can come off the accessory.

You also can stretch your collet too far so that electrodes and accessories do not fit properly afterward.  So push your accessories in, only just till they hold.  Never force or jam.

A Proper Body Contact Cable Has a Built-In Safety Gap.

This adds an additional protection against the possibility of draws on household current caused by a ground fault where your Violet Wand does not have a gap such as in older devices, or the presence of a safety gap is unknown, such as secondhand purchases.

How to Use:

Turn off your Violet Wand by means of a footswitch, or unplug from the wall.

Plug the insertion end of the body contact probe or pad into the wand.

You Can Place the Handle End of the Probe or Pad Against Your Subject for Reverse Techniques.

Strap it on, duct tape it on, tuck it in a cuff; as long as the handle end is held in firm contact with the skin, Reverse techniques will be possible.

Get Started:

Turn on your Violet Wand.  Now you may use any manner of conductive accessories, floggers, canes, Violet Wand toys on your subject.  They will feel the sparks and shocks and you are out of the circuit.

This method gives you the most freedom of motion.

Get Started With Indirect:

Turn off the wand with a footswitch or unplug from the wall.  Plug in the insertion end of the probe or pad.  Hold the handle end, or tuck it in your waistband or belt, as long as it is firmly against your own skin.

Turn On the Violet Wand.

Now your own touch is electrified and you can use all the conductive violet wand accessories by holding them in your other hand and passing the charge through them, and then to your subject.

Beware Of Kickback!

All Body Contact Cables can ‘kickback’ if you brush against them accidentally.  A high voltage rated cable with low-kickback will minimize this occurring.

Summary:

Body contacts should incorporate safety gaps as an extra measure of safety.  Most use an air gap.

This creates a buzzing noise as the sparks jump over the gap.

If you are receiving a tingle from your body contact, make sure your skin is dry where you are using it, and it is held very tight to your skin.

A hand might not be the best place to anchor your body contact, since your palms are naturally moist, can be sweaty, and have many valleys and folds that will cause the spark to have to jump to your skin and you will feel this jump.

Try tucking it in your waist band or some other place it will make good uninterrupted contact with your skin.

Since people can be more conductive with others, you might be someone who can’t use a Body Contact without feeling it yourself.

In that case, use it in Reverse.

You can use an Extension Cable with your Body Contact Cable.

This will not only reduce the output because of the extra length and connections, but will also add extra length and more freedom of movement.

For the most control over your wand, the body contact cable, and the output, use the Violet Wand Body Contact Cable with Indirect Techniques.  This is where you pass the current through your own body.
